01Project Brief
The Brief
Vrajesh Raval wanted a heritage-inspired Airbnb that felt like a home away from home. Ahmedabad is India's first heritage city, and the idea was to bring that sense of heritage into a flat on the 25th floor, well above the street.
The Objective
The client asked for open, breathing space rather than a heavily furnished interior, with heavy pieces kept to a minimum. Each room was to follow its own theme.
Our Scope
02Design Language
The design looks to Ahmedabad's old-city pols and houses, working from a simple idea: roots on the ground while you live in the sky. The rooms are treated separately, one following a cane and rattan direction, another a modern-retro one. Reflect Studios ran the project from design through execution over eight months, with the civil work handled by the client.

Furniture & Finishes
The furniture centres on antique pieces brought from the client's native home, close to two hundred years old, repaired where needed and used alongside custom-made pieces.
Challenges & Context
The flat came newly built and possession-ready, with no structural constraints. The task was to give a large, high-rise space a heritage character while keeping it open and uncluttered.
